Māori men are dying younger than any other group of New Zealanders.
Life expectancy for tāne Māori is 73 years of age compared to 80 years for non-Māori males and they struggle to access quality healthcare for treatable conditions such as gout through to diabetes.
The Hui discusses the challenges and inequities Māori men face in the health system with panelists Dr Anthony Jordan - Immunologist, Boyd Paratene - Director of Health Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua, Dr Jordan Te Whaiti-Smith - Medical Research Institute of NZ and Matt Tukaki - NZ Māori Council.
